Adobe is bringing new, fun applications to tablet computers. Its new features are definitely interesting additions to tablet computers. //The New York Times// reports that this new version of Photoshop will let people draw pictures, mix colors together, and more on tablet computers. These will then be able to be sent back to a desktop computer.
The new updates come from “Adobe Photoshop Touch SDK." It will work with “Android, Blackberry, and iOS mobile tablet devices, as well as Mac OS and Windows operating systems.” These new applications will open many new opportunities for creativity. Three new applications are bringing new ways of creating images. These three apps are “Adobe Eazel,” "Adobe Color Lava,” and “Adobe Nav.” Through “Adobe Eazel” people can create pictures using just their fingers, and draw on the tablets. “Adobe Color Lava” allows people to mix colors together directly on the tablet using their fingers. “Adobe Nav” will then allow users to create their own toolbars in Photoshop on their tablets. These are all new mess-free ways of creating art.
These new features will be available in Apple iTunes Stores in the beginning of May for under five dollars. The new applications might make using Photoshop easier because it allows us to use our hands to create the images. However, it will be interesting to see how efficiently and easily the new technology works with desktop computers, and if people will choose to use the tablets over computers.
